| Beware of Paper Tigers This letter is in response to the few members of the International Martial Arts Community who are misrepresenting themselves and misleading the public. There have been recently a number of Organizations which claim to teach the Fu Jow Pai Kung Fu or the Shaolin Black Tiger System of Chinese Kung Fu. The Fu Jow Pai Kung Fu Federation is headquartered in Chinatown New York, if they do not have a valid Degree and Certificate from Grandmaster Wai Hong and have not been tested by the Senior Executive Board of The Fu Jow Pai Federation; they are not now or have ever been legitimate or recognized as qualified experts or masters of the Tiger Claw system. New York is also the Headquarters of The Shaolin Black Tiger Kung Fu Federation. If they do not have a valid Degree or Certificate from the Shaolin Black Tiger Kung Fu Federation, and have not been tested by the Executive Council, they are not now or have ever been legitimate or recognized as qualified experts or masters of the Black Tiger System. Shaolin Black Tiger is the historical name of the present day Fu Jow Pai. The History of the Fu Jow Pai - Shaolin Black Tiger System has been well documented, First appearing in the Martial Arts Publication New Martial Hero, a Hong Kong based Kung Fu Magazine in 1970. At the time of this article Fu Jow Pai – Shaolin Black Tiger System had been virtually unseen in the general Martial Arts community (Wong Moon Toi was the Old Master Wong Bil Hung’s only heir and he came to the United States in 1936). A second article was published in Black Belt Magazine in 1974. We have included both of these articles. In 1975, Fu Jow Pai- Shaolin Black Tiger system was featured in the award winning Warrior Within, the first documentary ever of the Martial Arts along with some of the Worlds leading Martial Arts Masters. Millions of Martial Artists worldwide know the history of our system and are not fooled by Paper Tigers. We strongly reject the claims of these so called Fu Jow Pai and Shaolin Black Tiger Paper Tigers that are suddenly appearing, making many false claims of authenticity and mastery, a few may have trained briefly in our system, some not at all and are without proper certification and have no history in our system. They fabricate the truth to suit their deceit. We urge you the Prospective Student, and Public Please research the history of these Paper Tigers. Let them submit proof through an historical timeline as we have done which includes their teachers name, time of study, rank attained, teaching history, competitive history and the martial arts community where they preside which includes their peers and other credible Martial Arts Masters who can endorse their claims. All of these things we have done, to maintain a level of trust and integrity within the International Martial Arts Community.
